Mpix is better quality I think. Actually, my photographer has a photo release to only mpix for prints and canvas wraps. She trusts them since they have professional labs. The pictures really turn out well.

We've gotten the regular Mpix prints (not economy) and snapfish prints. The Mpix are definitely much higher quality. We tend to do Mpix for framed pictures and gifts and the snapfish ones for everything else.

Mpix is awesome! I have used snapfish before and there's no comparison. I have also ordered a large canvas from mpix and the quality was phenomenal. I often order canvases from Canvas on Demand when they do the 2 for $49 promo and they're nice, but the mpix one is definitely higher quality.

@78h2o: I love mpix and always use them for wall photos - but if I was doing 1000 pics for scrapbooking I would pick snapfish and pay .04 per pic

I use mpix for anything going in a frame, their quality is really great! Haven't ever tried their economy prints though.

@Tanjowen: I definitely think I will use MPIX for larger photos that will go on the wall. I was just wondering what to use for scrapbook photos? Sounds like it is probably worth it to do MPIX. I think I might do a smaller MPIX order with economy prints and see how it goes. Then maybe I'll wait for 25% off to print the rest. I appreciate your input!

@auggiefrog: Thanks!

@sunny: I've used Costco in the past, but we don't have a membership now. The nearest one is about 25 min away, in an area where we rarely go, and we found we didn't go often enough to justify it.

I have used both, and Mpix is far better in my opinion. In fact, our photographer for LO's 6 month shoot told us the best quality for economy prints are Mpix or Costco, but Mpix was best. I printed out a batch of economy prints for family, and was very happy with the results.

Snapfish is okay, and I still use them for photo books and small projects, but for pictures I am hanging on my wall, I will use Mpix every time.

I've used MPIX in the past quite frequently. There quality is very good, and I believe the economy prints are pretty much the same as the 29 cent prints except that they don't offer color fixing. I think the extra money for these prints is worth it compared to snapfish or other 'cheaper' photo printers, but I also really value good prints, so that's just my opinion.

I used Snapfish 10 years ago and did not like the quality of the prints. Perhaps they've gotten better since then. I've never tried Mpix.

Mpix has a prolevel lab that a lot of professionals use so I would imagine their consumer offering is probably pretty good.

What about Costco? I don't recall how much their per print price was though.

MPIX regular 4x6 prints are .29. Their economy prints are .19. I'm assuming the economy prints are uncorrected? Has anyone tried the economy prints?

I need to print a lot of photos (1000-2000?) and can't decide where to get them. It seems MPIX has good reviews, but it is a lot more expensive than Snapfish. I don't necessarily need to print all the photos at once... I could print a batch to try them out. Just trying to figure out where to upload photos.

I found a coupon for 15% off MPIX and one for 50% off Snapfish... which makes MPIX .25 or .16 per print and Snapfish .045.

So 2 questions...
1) How do regular and economy MPIX prints compare?
2) Is MPIX worth paying 3-5x more than Snapfish?
