The last time I flew with LO she was a lap child, but there happened to be an empty seat beside me. She sat in it just fine, and no one said anything. He's 18 months and too big and squirmy to be on my lap and his carseat won't fit on the plane. Has anyone used CARES, or a similar travel harness? Are non-lap children under two required to use such a harness or can they sit in the seat by themselves? </p>
