We are doing this right now:) our LO's are 24 months and 8 months old and have been in the same room for the past 2 months. They are both in separate cribs. LO2 slept in his crib in our bedroom for the first 6 months until he was reliably sleeping 11-12 hrs a night with no wake ups. We would have moved him earlier, but it took longer than we thought for him to get to that stage!

I was nervous about it, but it was pretty anti climatic, thankfully:). There was 1 night the first week where we had to remove a crying baby at bedtime and transfer him back to bed after he had fallen asleep, and a week of mornings where we ran in to get him early when he woke and cried for milk before his older brother was supposed to wake up.

In the end, right now the situation is that lo1 is getting about 1hr less night sleep than he used to (11hrs instead of 12), but he is making up the hour by taking a monster afternoon nap (3.5 hrs instead of 2.5hrs). I'm happy to finally get our room back!

We are planning to move to a bigger place later this year, but plan to keep them in the same bedroom, so that we can use the extra room as an office/guest room:)

I'm curious to hear if anyone has experience with this, as it is our current plan! My son is almost 23 months old, and LO#3 is due Oct. 14th. While the newborn will be in our bedroom for the first couple months, we plan on having the two youngest share. (My oldest is much older...13 yrs old) We have a 3 bedroom home, so this is really our only option for now.

Same here! DD is almost 18 months and we want to TTC soon too. I'm planning to have #2 in our room first and eventually have my two babes share a room. I hope it works out!

I do not personally have this situation, but my best friend is just starting to put her 2 yo and 7 mo in the same room. It has its up and downs, but the biggest issue is that the 2 yo wants to climb into the crib with the baby to "help" and wakes her up. :(

We are about to TTC LO #2 and I have some questions about the nursery... Our house has 2 bedrooms upstairs/1 downstairs. Right now, we have the nursery and our bedroom on the upstairs level, which is very convenient for night wakings. With a second LO though, I'm wondering if we should move downstairs and put the 2 LOs in separate rooms upstairs, or if we can put both babies in the same bedroom and stay in our upstairs bedroom near them?

LO #1 is currently 18 months old. Anyone have experiences with putting toddler and newborn in same bedroom? What would you do?
