I can't speak to Vitex, but I'm with @thereeldeal - I have PCOS too and TTC for over a year, and I had crazy irregular periods. My OBGYN recommended Pregnitude, and since then, I've been ovulating for sure (temping and OPKs) and having the kinds of regular cycles that I hadn't had since high school! I would talk to your OBGYN about Pregnitude.

I've tried it off and on for a couple of months, not the best way to give it a go, but besides some really bad burps I didn't notice any difference. I've actually been taking pregnitude for the last two months and I've noticed a decrease in some of my acne and cravings. It's supposed to help with ovulation too.

I don't have experience with it myself, but yesterday both my naturopath and acupuncturist mentioned it for post-ovulation to help raise progesterone.

I didn't notice anything. Maybe it depends on the brand? I got mine off of Amazon, I forget what brand though. But no noticeable drop in supply, mine increased but LO may have just been nursing more. I also didn't get my period back so I think it was pretty pointless.

Vitex was utterly useless for me, the only thing it was good for was draining my wallet! I have PCOS and it made my cycle longer if anything (my cycle before it was 90 days, on it was 100 days, then off it was about 80 days, then on metformin was a cycle that resulted in pregnancy).

Does anyone have any experience with taking vitex to regulate your cycle and TTC? I'm nursing my 16 month old . . . a lot. My cycle came back early but is very irregular. We've been NTNP for 7 months now, no dice. I needed clomid for this baby, so I don't really know if my fertility is in tip top shape to start.

I've had various people recommend vitex, so I've been reading up on it tonight. Some people report a drop in supply, which makes me rather unwilling to try it, because I don't want to sabotage my breastfeeding relationship. Does anyone have any personal experience? I've also heard that it can increase libido, which I don't really need.
