I love my applecheeks reusable swim diaper. As a lifeguard I saw too many disposable diapers leak poo :(

I second iplay diapers. They do have an absorbancy panel and snug leg openings. Supposedly they are the most sanitary.

Most public pools require them. You may want to determine whether or not they are required at your destination.

iPlay diapers have great reviews and Target carries them. If you'll be visiting the pool often this summer, it might be worth it to get one or two now.

Disposable swim diapers don't absorb a pee, they just collect a poo. I have only used them, but I know that if they pee in the car seat on the way to the beach, their car seat will be wet!

Swim diapers don't absorb liquid (so they don't blow up in water). They don't catch pees, but they catch poops!

Maybe i am overthinking this, but we are getting ready for a beach trip next month and i am confused,

Should i get a swimsuit with a "reusable swim diaper" or the disposable swim diapers or can i just use a cloth diaper with the insert removed?

LO will be 15 months. When we swam last summer we used our cloth dipes (bg 4.0s) with no inserts and a rash guard. It was great but it was for short swims in the pool so i dont know if i need more for a longer outing,
Thanks!
