We use it as our travel seat when we fly as well. Its definitely not a cushy seat or anything, but its totally fine. I don't have any experience it, but my BIL uses it in his car. She has 2 kids of her own, and has to pick them up from school, so I need to provide her with a car seat for my LO. My LO is 8.5 months and about 22 lbs. </p> <p>I am looking for a reasonable cheap car seat, but that is still safe! I guess it really doesn't matter if it's heavy or not. When she takes it out of the car, it will just be kept in her garage. But truthfully, we don't have a ton of extra money, so affordable is a priority!! Are there any car seats you could recommend? Also I would love to rear face for as long as possible and I have a big baby! </p>
