My husband and I don't go to parties much anymore but I've kind of always been a more the merrier person! When I've been unintentionally lumped with people I don't get along with (it has happened) I usually try to hang out in a different room/area-- not in an obvious or rude way. Like hanging out in the kitchen if they're out on the deck or in the living room etc.

It helps if there are lots of people or a decent sized place (whole house and warm enough for outside!)

If it's not my house/party I just kind of make the best

You ever have people, last minute, ask to bring others to an event? How did you handle the situation?

It's happening with us for NYE tomorrow. I'm glad we aren't the hosts like we planned, but man I don't look forward to the extra people we are probably going to hang out with, they aren't our cup of tea, but it's too late to make other plans for ourselves.

You ever find yourself in this situation?
