Sometimes viral conjunctivitis occurs with a cold. DS had bad eye gunk when he was 2 mos old. That's what my doctor suggested but unfortunately I wasn't breastfeeding at the time so I couldn't tey it out. It cleared up on its own in about a month. All I could do was wipe it away every morning with warm water. DS has terrible eye boogers and congestion. The eye boogers matted his eyes shut and made them incredibly swollen yesterday night. I coated them in Vaseline and have been wiping with a warm cloth when he's awake, but any other remedies? I'm nursing him now and he is pretty much asleep and I already see them forming! :-( </p>
