One thing to know is you will probably be asked to help pull your eyelid taut while the therapist works - it feels a bit awkward. It also means you might be be comfortable not wearing contacts (mine feel weird when I'm pushing on my eye). I've been doing it for about 6 years and got pretty good at maintaining it myself between appts, so I can go a 4-6 months. It does sting a little bit (the skin around your eyes are pretty sensitive) but I don't think it's bad at all. And the results are amazing!
