@Mrs D: What about Latisse (for a permanent solution)? Or Yumi Lashes which tint and lift your natural lashes without extensions (it's lasts about 8 weeks I think)?

I did them for my wedding and again just before LO1 was born. They are amazing and totally worth it but they can be a pain when they start coming off. I never bothered with a fill and they lasted about a month both times.

I have a friend who does them, and they do make her eyes look amazing. She had pretty sparse lashes to begin with so it makes a big difference for her. You guys have me intrigued to look into it.

@Mamaof2: The place where my girlfriend goes is the same initial price but the fills are every 3-4 weeks and only $60....If it was $85/2 weeks it would be cost prohibitive for sure...

An acquaintance of mine does them and they look amazing - my only issue is the cost $150 for initial and then she suggests every 2 weeks to get them touched up and that's $85

If they lasted longer or were cheaper I would try them!

I had them for about 8 months! I had xtreme lashes in 12s. I was cheap and only got them filled every 3 weeks instead of 2. Then I got pregnant and wanted to save money!

1. They look great the first week, then start looking sparse.
2. Find a good lash artist. Quality varies even with the same product.
3. You can't touch them, use eyeliner, mascara, nothing because the oils make the glue weaken and the lashes fall out. My artist told me to stop washing my face, only use ponds pads, etc, because the soap was bad. Also, to cover my face with a washcloth in the shower to prevent shampoo from getting on them. I never did any of that, and like I said, they were sparse by week 2.

@Mrs D @Jackiedavis87: I'm just about the only person in my circle who doesn't have eyelash extensions. It costs about $60-80 in my area and lasts about a 1-1.5 months. I love the look on my friends - makes a huge difference in their overall look and they spend way less time in their face routine cause you can skip eyeliner and mascara. But they all told me your eyelashes do fall out over time and so that's been one of the reasons holding me back. They all get fillers routinely which is cheaper than the initial set. I think the subsequent fillers aren't as impressive as the original set cause they'll be less natural lashes to adhere the fake lashes to. Another thing holding me back - you have to be cautious with how you wash ur face and what type of cleanser to use so you can preserve the fake lashes as long as possible. I like a really good thorough wash so I don't know about avoiding my (oily) eye area.

I've been wondering about these! I was told that it causes your natural eyelashes to fall out more than usual, so once you do it you have to keep doing it. I would have already gotten them except for this! Does anybody whose had them know if this is true?

@Mrs D: Oo, then totally do it if there's space in your budget! I'd def try to get recommendations on a good place/person; they can make all the diff to make them last longer. If I have the $, I def would consider doing it b/c I feel like it will make me look that much better on days where I can't be bothered with anything else!

@snowjewelz: I was really excited when I saw the R+F announcement about their new lash product - but I should have known since its RF it would be horribly overpriced. Which it was...so I am back to looking at extensions.

I have stopped getting my nails done...so really it balances out with that in my budget...

I'm cheap too, so I can't bring myself to spend money on something that isn't permanent. But I have tons of friends/co-workers that get them either on a regular basis or for special occasions... It's gorgeous!

Intrigued to hear if anyone has these or has tried these...

I mean the kind applied at a salon that last weeks...

My girlfriend gets them and her eyelashes are AMAZING. Plus she said it has made her morning routine so much easier because her eyes look killer with little effort...

Its not cheap...so I am doing my research first!
