It's harder for her to get it up off of the kitchen counters than the dining room table, so I think it's mostly because of my table. I guess if you tried positioning a few times then it must not be smooth enough? I put it on our veneer table when I bought it and pulled it up right away, but then repositioned and pushed on all the parts of it and it stuck great. I think it's partly our water as we also get white spots on the facet and the fridge water dispenser. For the most part, but we've been really happy with them. However, despite always hand washing them with dawn, and rinsing really well, they often dry with spots of white residue. Did anyone else have this problem and if so, did you find a solution? </p>
