@FannyMae: that's interesting because I bet that is even more intense than my handheld brush!

@Mamaof2: oh I've never seen a silicone brush before! My skin isn't super sensitive, but I'll know there's an option if the brush doesn't work out.

@MoonMoon: if you have sensitive skin I wouldn't use it. I bought a clarisonic and my face wasn't getting any better - when I went and got a facial she told me those with sensitive skin shouldn't use them at all - she gave me a silicone based brush to use every night instead - similar to this

I've been using my clarisonic every night since I bought it a week ago, and no irritation whatsoever.

@regberadaisy: yes, I'm guessing some exfoliation to address dull complexion. I really see a difference in how my face looks, and it feels softer! Just have to make sure I don't overdo it.

Every esthetician I know says to only use exfoliation brushes 3 times per week, since skin is a sensitive organ and too much exfoliation can cause irritation.

@skipra: ok that's what I'm afraid of, so I'll start slow! I've been so excited I used it three nights in a row, so time to skip a night.

I think maybe after you get used to it you can use it daily if you want. I'd start every other day or even just 2-3 times a week and see how it goes. I used to use mine every night and I loved how clean my skin felt but I did break out a bit when I first started using it.

When I used my Olay brush daily, I broke out more because it irritated my skin too much.

I've been wanting to try a face brush, so I ordered this one from Origins, and I love it!

http://www.origins.co.uk/media/images/products/270x250/or_0KX801_250.jpg

It's pretty soft, but when I use it sometimes my skin feels a bit raw. It goes away within a free minutes. So I'm just wondering if that's normal, and if using a face brush every night is advisable or too much. Any experience? My skin is combination skin, getting a bit more sensitive as I age, for reference.

Thanks for any tips!
