This thread makes me grateful I live in Florida. All that work to get them dressed .... and I know my lo would poo the second we got in the car.

I am dying for one of these when the LO gets older. http://www.etsy.com/listing/101515607/fantastic-grey-fox-coat

I think baby snowsuits are easier for kids who are not potty trained, if you're spending a good amount of time outside. That way, you don't have to worry about the coat riding up, socks falling off, hats falling off, etc... I've gotten a few different brands, but my favorite ones were from Gap Baby. Once kids get to potty training age, though, separate pieces are much easier!

If it's just between the house and the car, or the store, I think it's easier to just leave them in the car seat and use a seat cover or blanket. You don't want to have to take them out of the car seat, put on a coat, take off the coat, strap them back into the carseat, etc... every time you leave the house.

@looch: I got a puffy jacket too! We just put it on her before we took her out of the car.

We have quite a few fall/winter jackets for LO. All from baby gap and I bought them large so she can wear them again this winter!

We had a pretty mild winter so I probably put the puffer jacket on her a handful of times. We didn't take her out a whole lot either, so I think your LO would be fine with just a jacket.

I made a mistake of buying a puffy coat, it can't be used in a car seat, so we just used a really thin fleece, light but warm.

When we went out in the stroller, we used an all in one piece bundler that I bought at babyGap.

eta: Lands End has great 3 in 1 coats.

Ok, around these parts the weather turns chilly pretty quickly.

M is 3 months now so she'll be around 5months + when the weather really starts to get cold. Do you think she'll be fine in a winter coat or does she need one of those full body suits?

What's your favorite brand of little children winter apparel?

I've been prowling daily deal sites for a good deal. But also leaning towards The Children Place 3in1 jackets. My nieces and nephews always had those and they were super!

Would also love cute "fashion" jackets too! A little pea coat would be too cute.

Have you purchased any fall/winter apparel for little one yet?
