<description>&#60;p&#62;My mother in law has an apple cake recipe that we love.  Its definitely sweet but that tangy-ness of the apple pieces cuts it a bit.  I can look it up when I get home tonight.  She makes it in a bundt pan, but you could probably half the recipe for your little cake pan.

<description>&#60;p&#62;DH's birthday is Friday and he's not a huge sweets fan so I'm going to build a craft brew &#34;cake&#34; for him. But I want something small on top for him to blow out. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;No pumpkin flavor because he's not a fan and nothing too crazy sweet. Apple pie is my fallback. Ideally I would love some kind of light apple cake I can bake a mini 5&#34; smash cake version. Thanks!
