We've never really had anyone in our families watch our kids because they haven't offered, so it should be interesting! If we ask them to baby sit they will keep him overnight because they have a crib there and he's there during the week a lot. </p> <p>Anyone else, they usually watch him at our house so he's comfortable. We'll let LO fall asleep there and pick her up late- she will go back to sleep in the car. If they are putting LO down for the night is rather they come to me, unless they wanted to do a sleepover or something. My mom lives almost an hour from my sister and more often goes to my sisters house to babysit. If they are done after dark she stays over. Mid day she goes back home. Occasionally my sister brings her son to my moms house, especially if she is going in that direction anyway. To get to date night place may take another hour or hour and half. Does the relative come to you? Or do you take child to them?</p> <p>If the relative comes to you do, would they typically stay the night?</p> <p>If you go to them, do you leave your LO there for a day or two?</p> <p>In this scenario- hour away from relative babysitter- would you just hire a local sitter? </p>
