We aren't very close, but she does comment on photos I post of my kids (things like how cute or so sweet). She's talked about moving to our town, since so much of her family lives here. It has been very difficult as I am friends on FB with both her and her children (my cousins.) I have not defriended but I do not comment/post on anything she does. She frequently likes/comments on my kid's pictures in an overly "positive" way and I'm fine with it. I know it's her way of saying "hey look I'm engaging with the family when no one wants me around, I'm such a nice person, ect." but in reality I have seen the emails and hear from my mom some of the things she has said to my dad and his siblings, she's not someone I need in my life. it's just easier not to have the drama of deleting her in case they ever work it out in the future. however, if she ever comes at me/contacts me in a negative way about my dad and mom I will immediately delete and block. as I like to say "ain't got no time for that" </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/family-drama-1#post-2486706 Mon, 07 Mar 2016 16:59:27 +0000 MrsSCB 2486706@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>This is so weird! I've been friends with my husband's aunt for several years now, and she's never posted anything rude or unusual on my wall. I asked him why he wanted me to delete her, and he said she doesn't have our best interest at heart and he doesn't think she should have access to everything we post on FB. I thought it was strange that he didn't give a specific reason. </p> <p>I see my husband's aunt about once a year at family gatherings, so I'm afraid if I unfriend her she will notice and it will make things awkward. My husband asked his dad about what's going on, and he didn't say anything other than he just noticed we (my SIL and I) were friends with her on FB, and he thinks she isn't worthy of embracing. So it sounds like it's more of a problem he has with her than anything to do with us. What would you do? Unfriend the aunt no questions asked, wait it out a bit, or something else? </p>
