But we finally took our first photo with all 4 of us after almost 16 months 😂<br /> We had a family picnic that day so I knew it was a good opportunity. I tend to like cool and casual, easy-breezy for pics though.<br /> I wore khaki wide leg pants and a white tee with denim jacket (so khaki white and blue). My husband wore khaki shorts and a blue v neck. My 4.5yo wore the same (khaki shorts and blue v neck) but not identical. The 15mo wore khaki shorts and a blue polo.<br /> It was various shades of blue in diff styles and we all wore a khaki bottom but diff styles. I didn’t pack with this in mind but when we got dressed for the picnic I just realized we had all sort of the same color scheme so I went with it and realized we could finally get a pic and I really love how it turned out. I don’t normally post pics because I want to be anonymous on here but I’ll post this one and delete later today. If I don’t chicken out :silly:<br /> So even if you wanted something more formal, I would pick a color or two and just anchor around it. Don’t try to match exact shades of blue or patterns. But I would do the same blue family. Like navy/chambray/light blue vs aqua/teal. I really like the first two dresses @foodnerd1: posted. One for each girl. They look coordinated but not perfectly matched. Then DH can do khaki and a blue polo (I strongly suggest getting him khakis. Banana Republic almost always has deals on theirs). Then for you I would do a blue dress or another neutral or skirt with a white top.<br /> But that’s just me. :-) And boys are way easier to dress, I don’t envy you. It’s like shorts, polo or button down, you’re done. I’d recommend your husband wear khakis rather than dress pants unless you’re shooting in the city or doing a formal indoor session. </p> <p>Keep the colors neutral and pastel. I love Gap, Old Navy and Zara for the kids. They have some cute dresses with blues that would work with you wear a blue dress I think. Are thinking of something along these lines, or dressier, more casual...? I like this striped one with the color block one. But some sizes are limited, fyi. Or I like the flowered one then a more solid dress with one of the colors in the pattern. We have maternity/family photos coming up in a couple weeks and I have no idea what to wear. Usually we have at least a kid outfit to anchor around, but right now neither one has anything I'm loving. Photos will be outdoors, at a PNW beach (think rocky beach, ferries, etc). The only thing I know the girls will wear is the only nice summer shoes they have...</p> <p>Me: will get a dress from my letote rental, probably blue or neutral, TBD depending on availability, and then grey pointed flats<br /> DH: dress pants with a button up shirt, has a million colors to choose from<br /> DD1 (4.5 yo): white dress sandals, has already started to brown a bit in the sun and has long blonde/brown hair and blue/green eyes<br /> DD2 (2 yo): blue mary jane shoes with a white bird on them, she is super fair with a very fine suuuuper blonde baby mullet</p> <p>Any ideas or inspiration? We literally get most of their clothes from Target, Old Navy or grandparent gifts and I'm striking out looking online. I think I just don't know where to look! We had great coordinated outfits for family pics last year and I'm so stumped. Thanks!! </p>
