Two practical gifts that I received that I loved were:

1) A family photo shoot package: It was a quick photo session but I loved that I was able to get some pics of my DH and I with our baby. Usually it's me taking the pics so most of the pics are of him and the baby.

2) House cleaning service for a day: My husband probably liked this the most because he was in charge of light housekeeping in the beginning.

We received a bunch of other family-oriented gifts, like picture frames but I really liked these practical ones better. :)

Hi ladies!
My SIL is being induced this Friday with her second one.
Their wedding anniversary is next Saturday.

I'll like to send them a "family oriented" congratulations on baby/anniversary gift.

She will have her mom there to help with the new baby. But so soon after delivery I'm not sure if they will be up to going out.

What are some good ideas for the parents, big sister (8) and new baby boy?

I'm not really sure what direction to go...but not in the home spa/bathrobe/slipper route.

ETA: Being Chinese there well be lots of food limitations in the beginning so meal delivery is not really a option. BUT if you know of a good meal delivery service I can get a gift certificate to in NYC they can use a month or so afterward that woudl be great! After a month of eating the same Chinese items over and over I'm sure some non Chinese/American/Italian/etc would be appreciated!
Thanks!
