I "read" DS those indestructible books. He likes the colors and I just narrate the pictures because he's so young. We have Mary Had A Little Lamb, Jungle Rumble, the mommy and baby animals one, and a couple others. I also like reading him the board book of Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin. It's fun to read, and I think all of the black and white cows are fun for him to look at.

For bedtime, we love The House in the Night by Susan Swanson and Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes by Mem Fox. Both have beautiful illustrations and enough rhythm and repetition to keep LO interested.

SO many kids books that I love. LO is a little young for any thing more than board books so right now there is alot of 15 animals, goodnight moon, red hat green hat, Feely bugs. He generally loves anything short that we read to him but really knows goodnight moon and the little book of names and faces that we made him for christmas.

I am looking forward to Stellaluna and Where the Wild Things Are.

@Weagle: Time for bed? I love it, too!! My husband hates it (I think because it is so repetitious) but I read it to her every single night.

Someone gifted me "I Love You Stinky Face." I was so intrigued by it that I read it before I had DD and totally cried. I think it's one of the sweetest books.

@yellowbird: We have that one :)

Oh man, we have a lot of favorites. Any Sandra Boynton book, Dr. Seuss, especially the board books, B is for Bear which is a touch and feel book, and any Little Critter books. She has over 200 books so we never get bored ;)

She loves the bright baby books. Colors is the one we have and she loves the pictures or real animals and babies. I read one in target and made DH read it, too. It was called If I Could Keep You Little. After DH read it, he had to compose himself when looking at her, tearjerker! But, it's very sweet!

My husband picked up this really cute book at Barnes and noble called "what makes a rainbow." You flip the pages and there is a ribbon of each color that pulls through the book. It's so cool, but I'm sure will be destroyed in the next few years!

It's been a while since we've had a post about baby books on here so I thought I'd ask, what's your/your lo's favorite book right now?

M doesn't really seem interested in the books we read her yet (we read three a night) but I love these and could read them over and over again:

I Love You Through and Through - Bernadette Shustak
The Going to Bed Book - Sandra Boynton
Time For Bed - Mem Fox
