@LulaBee: I definitely think you could fit a few in there. Maybe not like 10, but 3-5ish depending on the type?

I use this LL Bean one when we go on vacation. It doesn't have too many pockets, but I usually just throw in a diaper clutch and some snacks.

I have this MZ Wallace one. It is expensive, but I also carry professionally (It's like my purse/briefcase since I have a bad neck). It's not huge, but it is extremely light.
http://www.mzwallace.com/shop/products/7660108-0000/black-oxford-metro-backpack

EDIT: I also have a fisher price one that is great for casual use. Very light and roomy. http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Deluxe-Sporty-Diaper-Backpack/dp/B008YZOH1Q

I think I'm going to go with this one from Target. It checks off all my boxes, it's inexpensive, cute, not girly (DH and I will share it) and has a few pockets.

I'm going to really make an effort to not carry half the nursery with me this time around :P

@Truth Bombs: I'm more worried about carrying the baby and keeping the toddler from running into traffic or leaping off a play structure with something over my shoulder to keep track of. I figure if it's on my back my arms are more free, plus like I said, I have a bad back anyway and a heavy bag on one shoulder hurts it. Maybe the toddler will be potty trained by then too though- I read a book about it so I'm practically there :)

@Foodnerd81: yeah, my older LO is totally potty trained so I'll basically just be using a diaper bag for 1 again. I could see how it wouldn't be big enough for two in diapers.

@Truth Bombs: I wish I had gotten something that the first time around- that's really pretty and will look nice as a bag even long after diapers. But with 2 now I'm thinking a sporty backpack is going to work better for me.

Thanks for all the responses! I'm going to check them all out for sure. Part of me thinks I should wait until Christmas and ask for it (baby due mid December) but it would be nice to start using now.

I have a Danzo backpack I bought from a flash sale site, I thought I would love all the clear plastic organization pockets, but it's not as fabulous as I had hoped.

I am in the market for a sport pack now though.

@Foodnerd81: I'm going with this when it comes out in Navy sometime around Christmas https://www.lily-jade.com/designer-diaper-bags-p/m2cv-red_brw.htm

It converts to a backpack, and has an awesome inside organization unit that can be left in or pulled out depending on your preference.

I just went through this and tried a bunch of the northface options on in a store, I felt like they were kind of heavy / bulky to begin with and I wanted as little weight as possible. I ended up going with this, which was way cheaper and worth the gamble:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QGC49BW?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

The only downside is there's only one outside pocket for a cup/bottle.

It has a large interior pocket for diapers, spare clothes, and snacks, a small outer pocket for my wallet and glasses, a little pocket for my phone, and a sleeve for a tablet. It has two exterior mesh pockets for our water bottles. It's really cute too - I have the underwater blue.

Now that my LOs (16 month twins) are a little older I carry a Longchamp backpack. It is small, but I basically only pack diapers and wipes, a snack, a board book, and small water cups for each kid. The school backpacks make me feel 7 so I love that it's a backpack but cute.
