It's just easier than wrangling her when she's rolling while getting dressed. He was/is short and chunky. I did give up on one piece pj's early though and switched him to the long john, two piece style at about 9 months or so. Size 12 months at 6 months old, so solidarity on the giant babies. Footie jammies go way up into at least a 5T, but Carter's is the easiest to find brand. I had to give up on footed pajamas around that age because they get longer and longer when you size up but that wasn't what I needed! Check out and h&amp;m. They run big and so I was able to get him so really nice clothes only one or two sizes up. And he fit them for a long time! He still wears some of them a year later!
