I did put one hand behind her head since she didn't want it tucked it but it was the best way to get her to sleep for a few months. LO was born at 6 lbs, 2 oz. We just used the stroller until he hit 7 lbs, then we used the Ergo. And how long do you want it to last you? I had a Maya when DS was tiny. Super comfy, and very budget friendly, but it wasn't a great carrier once he hit 5-ish months. We switched to wrapping at that point. Sakura Bloom ring slings are a little more expensive, but they have more longevity than the Maya. Sleeping Baby Productions is also great. My favorite ring slings are wrap conversion ring slings, and one of those will last you into toddlerhood.
