@MrsADS: I think I'm going to try some too. I also always want things to be ice cold. DH got me a Yeti this summer and it's been a lifesaver. Today I"m sipping on a VitaminWater XXX flavor and ice water. I need to shop for some juice tomorrow.

@gingerbebe: that’s interesting that the Gatorade helped your supply. I will have to keep that in mind. I haven’t had Gatorade in a while and we usually get G2 because I find it less sweet.

@SweetiePie: my mom gave me some ginger tea and I couldn’t get past the color of it 😂😂 I guess I could put it in a travel mug. I was a citrus fiend the first time around but even with the Prilosec a few bites of pineapple last week caused all sorts of discomfort. Pregnant bodies are weird. ;)

@MaryM: I will check out the ocean spray flavors. They always have good combinations.

@jhd: FWIW, I literally always had Gatorade in my fridge from pregnancy through weaning because it helped my supply for some reason (even though I was drinking 1-2 gallons of water a day, I saw a marked increase of milk on days I drank Gatorade/Powerade).

@jhd: First tri I had aversions to everything including water. I went through a phase though where ice cold lemonade was good. And I also liked iced tea and tried to do ginger when I could (ginger beer, not ginger ale, and ginger iced tea). My OB said that anything is better than nothing.

@jhd: Have you tried the new cranberry pineapple juice from ocean spray? Sounds odd, but it's really good!

I gave up soda and coffee in the first tri, so I figured adding in some juice wasn't going to hurt too much (sugar wise). Plus I had some issues with constipation and was told juice could help that a little. I couldn't stomach prune, but would have apple or cranberry (usually half juice, half water)

The only thing that helped my morning sickness was a 22 oz fountain coke from Speedway (it HAD to be Speedway). Unfortunately, I had to quit that when I got GD, so then it was ice cold water with lemon in it.

Gatorade was my go to during pregnancy and during the fourth trimester! I prefer the powdered versions, and then I could make a jug or a glass as needed.

I also figured out that what I drank out of mattered. I used to always carry around a Nalgene bottle, but since I switched to a camelbak w/ straw, I drink 5x as much! For some reason I drink more through a straw. I have 4 bottles, two for work and two for home. Each of these are designated for plain water and the other for juice/Gatorade/etc.

Good luck!

Miso soup is my magic bullet for nausea. It really helped on the occasions I could't keep liquids down, and was helpful for settling my stomach in general. I just buy miso paste and mix a bit with hot water.

@MrsADS: sorry you are struggling too. we did a whole30 back in the spring and had basically been drinking water only and some coffee. i can't handle coffee or carbonation just now. i'm still drinking water but i need some other options to change things up. i may just have to browse the juice aisle at the grocery store tomorrow and grab whatever sounds good in the moment. i guess another good option would be fruits & veggies with high water content. i did some juice based smoothies about a month ago when we were traveling but that sounds gross now lol

@jhd I am 11 weeks pregnant and having the same problem, I have been so dehydrated because I'm having major aversion to most drinks, including water :crying: Pre-pregnancy I drank a ton of water all the time so this sucks. And I already have really bad constipation and not being able to drink a lot makes it sooo much worse.

I find I can tolerate certain things in spurts. For a while, it was cold diluted apple juice, but now I can't really drink it. Right now I am sipping strongly flavored seltzer water, or seltzer with a bit of OJ. I was also drinking dilute lemonade for a while, I can't do that. I am also drinking some Constant Comment (orange) tea in the morning. I can't drink sodas, plain water, or Gatorade right now.

I haven't found a great solution. I feel your pain.

Cold soda (I did try to go for the decaf stuff) and very weak coffee. I couldn't drink plain water because if there was any tiny little odor, I'd pick up on it. The coffee masked it very nicely.

I'm having trouble staying hydrated this week. What are some of your favorite drinks?

So far today I've had ice cold water, a cup of hot decaf tea, and some lingonberry syrup from IKEA mixed in water.

Nothing sounds good to me right now. :silly: It's like pregnancy food aversions have now extended to drinks as well.
