We joke that DS is going to prefer Salvadorean food since that's all I wanted during pregnancy.

My favorites are Japanese (sushi), Thai and Vietnamese plus Italian. I don't like spicy but can find delicious options in all of these categories :)

There isn't an ethnic food category that I don't love. But Indian, Thai, chinese...they are on the top for me.

Vietnamese is my favorite followed closely by Thai. Persian is pretty great too. I don't consider mexican ethnic but if I did that would be at the top of the list. My son is too little for most of it but I plan on exposing him to as much as possible simply because my husband is such a picky eater and I refuse to allow my child to be the same.

We love Indian, Thai, sushi and other Japanese foods, Korean, Vietnamese (Pho, yummmm), Iraqi, and lots of northern African dishes we’ve tried. We also love Italian and Mexican but not the super cheesy, heavy Americanized versions of those cuisines.

I sort of expect LO to eat all of the above, just because those foods are part of our regular diet and not something “weird” or foreign. Plus, they are really tasty, so whats not to love?!

I love a piping hot bowl of spicy chinese dumplings and noodles. It's my comfort food! I love Korean bbq, love cooking and eating Italian although I put Asian touches on my pasta.

Good thai isn't easy to come by in NY, but when I do get it I appreciate it. Also love Malaysian food.

Sushi, Thai, Chinese, Italian and Mexican. It's funny, we hardly ever eat out at Italian restaurants - maybe because we can make a lot of those dishes at home? The other ones we will eat out for unless I'm feeling adventurous and want to make my own sushi.

Thai food. I love coconut and spice. When I was pregnant meals weren't complete without a lot of spice, baby hasn't tried out the hot stuff yet, we probably have a while before we see if she likes what she made me crave.

My husband right now is on an indian food kick, I think because we have indian buffets around here, maybe if they had a thai buffet though he'd prefer that, he thinks the portions are too small at the thai restaurants.

I just love food so much :)

I LOVE Korean BBQ. I was introduced to it 2 years ago and was upset that it took so long for someone to tell me it was so yummy.

I love Caribbean (Puerto Rican and Cuban), empanadas, arroz con pollo, tostones, yum! And West Indian food (which kind of overlaps with the Caribbean). I like Indian, too--but West Indian combines some of my favorite Indian dishes in a way that is just more pleasing to my palate. And now I'm thinking about going to this little Trinidadian spot near my apartment today to get some curry chicken roti and rice and peas. Yum.

I'll eat just about everything with favorites being Vietnamese spring rolls, Vietnamese sandwiches, Korean BBQ, dim sum, sushi, and Hawaiian food (I am from Hawaii).

I also really want my LO to like ethnic food. Yesterday we took her to eat dim sum and she FINALLY seemed to like some dishes. I admit feeling disappointment when she doesn't like what I like. Plus, she is half Chinese so I feel like she has to like Chinese food at least!!

So far she doesn't seem like too much of a picky eater. I would be really bummed if she turned out to be one and I could not share my joys of eating a wide variety of foods with her.

My toddler's first favorite ethnic food was/still is Korean BBQ. I remember when she was about 18 months and had the best meal of her life (thus far) in Koreatown. She ate soooo much. Not spicy stuff, but still, she ate a ton and LOVED it. Then they brought out complimentary watermelon for dessert. Omg, she was over the moon. Our server kept bringing her more and was so enthused with LO's big appetite :) She also loved that we went to Pinkberry after. I know that's not really "ethnic", but it was part of her "Best Meal Ever" day. She loves the mochi too!

Me... I love Thai and Hawaiian food!! and of course Filipino food, but like you and sushi, I don't consider it ethnic, it's just "home" food to me. DD (3 yo now) eats it more and more these days which makes me really happy because she went through a super picky eating period last year.

I love Korean and Thai food so much. I don't consider Japanese an ethnic food, because sushi is a food group as far as I'm concerned.

Charlie keeps trying our food when we order out and saying, "Too spicy!!!" I love it, but I hope that he can eat spicy. Because otherwise, I will love him a little bit less.

How about you? Oh and, when will you introduce your LO to your favorite ethnic foods?
