There’s a Club Med in florida thatvis all inclusive and sometimes has really good deals. Also Florida: Siesta Key.

Hilton Head is fun, so is Fripp Island for a completely different, extremely low key experience (not much to do except beach and pool, get around on a golf cart). Outer banks has good rental prices compared to NJ/Hamptons rentals. Isle of Palms is good for families, too.

Totally different direction: for driving, we’ve taken the kids to Ocean City, Maryland which has a great boardwalk and there’s a beach front Hilton with 3 great pools and kitchenettes and suites, so perfect for families. We also liked Wildwood and Cape May (they are close but very different feel). There are a ton of Jersey shore towns I could go into detail on—one of my favorites is Asbury Park, but it kind of depends on what you are looking for.

We’ve also been north from here and gone to Narragansett, and Mystic (fun stuff there), and Cape Cod (book early). We’ve also taken the kiddos to Newport, RI. I hear good think about Block Island and Martha’s Vinyard, but we haven’t made it there yet.

If you want specific resorts/hotels I can list some but I haven’t been to any beachfron all inclusives up here—- I do know of some on lakes. You can check out Rocking Horse Ranch, Mohonk Mountain, Crystal Springs, And Woodloch for family resorts where you can do all inclusive. Hershey, PA is nice too. We’ve been to the lodge and checked out the Inn, too (super nice). Oh, and there Lake George—several places there. And Lake Placid is really nice too.

Hope Lake Lodge is kinda mid NY state. Which reminds me of Camelback in PA. Okay, I’m done! Haha

We moved to this area 6 years ago, and I always like to discover nearby places as much as possible.

@cake2017: We go to the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando about every year and it’s SO wonderful. I second this recommendation for sure. The service and accommodations are top notch and there’s a ton for both adults and kids to do. Plus its next door to the Ritz and you can enjoy their pool and spa and other amenities. All the restaurants are delicious. And yes, it’s not all inclusive but you can charge everything to your room so it can feel that way and make payment easier. It’s not at the beach but the pool is gigantic and lagoon theme with a full lazy river for floating. And a there’s a lake for kayaking tours. After the red tide/algae issues both coasts dealt with last year it may not be a bad thing to play it safe there. It’s also close enough to do other Orlando tourist things but you can completely avoid them if you please.

This is mountain, not beach, it is not all inclusive, and we only “afford” the shoulder season rates. And it is a 6hr drive. But we love the Mount Washington Hotel in NH. It has hiking for my husband, a gorgeous veranda with a great cocktail menu AND a nice spa for me, and it’s right near the Mt. Washington Cog Railway which my son loves to visit. The resort has both indoor and outdoor pools, a playground, a golf course, horses and tennis courts.

Florida- JW Marriotts or Ritz Carlton Resorts. They aren’t all inclusive but always wonderful on every level.

We want to plan an easy family vacation this summer. We live in the NY area, and are open to flying or driving (no more than 3-4hours). We are really looking for an affordable resort and possibly all-inclusive. Our boys will be 3 and 6, so lots of fun activities to do is essential. I’d prefer the beach, but I’m open to any suggestions or favorite places you have been to with kids similar ages. Thanks!!!
