ghd forever and ever. I have the platinum styler that came out last year, and it is pretty dang fantastic on my thick wavy hair. I've used 3 different models over the last 10 years and never had one die on me (I just keep upgrading them because I'm a sucker like that).

If price isn't a concern, the GHD is the best! I used CHI for 5 years and had to buy a new one every year.

I also have a Conair Infinity Titanium flat iron and I love it. It wasn't crazy expensive but works great.

@Ra: how old is your chi? Ive had 3 that died in less than 2 years (each) and I contacted customer service, sent the broken ones to them, and the sent me a brand new ones 😊. I've had 8 chi's total since I was 13, back when it came with a video, and you had to work in a salon to buy one. So depending on how old it is, I would contact them. They're usually very accommodating.

I had a Chi years ago and thought it was fine. Now I use a GHD and it's wayy better. Gets hot, stays hot, lasts forever ( I've had this one for probably.. 5-6 years.) The only thing is it doesn't have an adjustable temp control on it.

I just had another Chi iron die on me. I've always been loyal to Chi but they've been dying way too quick to justify the money. Does anyone have an iron they like better?
