At 5 months they don't need much. Charlie and Olive didn't really get into the exersaucer/jumperoo until closer to 6-7 months.

I think just being in a new place is exciting enough!

Maddy loved her jumperoo and her walker. I know a walker is controversial though, I'd go with a jumperoo, blanket with small toys, and a bouncer type chair or bumbo?

My LO is 5.5 months. We still use the car seat and stroller frame. He just started using a jumper and likes it but it's a little overwhelming for him. He spends a lot of time rolling around on a blanket on the floor with small toys that rattle or crinkle and he can pick up. He still loves his activity mat (kick & play piano gym). He also spends a good bit of time in the infant super seat watching me cook or clean in the kitchen.

@hilsy85: We are going to Az so it should actually be pretty warm! But still will take the car seat and snap and go.

I'm kind of excited to see her in the jumparoo!

Jumperoo, kick & play piano/gym, and bumbo were popular for us

I would probably just stick with a blanket and toys or activity gym. If you're with family, there's a good chance she will be plenty entertained. At least when we're with my family, LO never has any need for toys. At that age especially.

All I would need is a nice big blanket to spread on the floor and some small toys. Make that 2 blankets actually, because it would get spit up on at some point!

I agree on jumperoo/excersaucer. I also agree about just rolling around on the floor, on a playmat or without as long as there are toys. My LO loves all toys he can mouth and that he can get to make noise - crinkle, rattle, or annoying electronic songs. He still (barely) tolerates the bouncy chair. Definitely would want the car seat and snap and go. Also, he loves being worn. My LO is 5.5 months

Jumperoo for sure! At that age LO loved his. At that age, he was also fine just chilling on a mat on the floor, or propped on a boppy. Depending on how cold it is, you might want the car seat/snap and go because she'll be more protected from the elements than in an umbrella stroller.

We are renting a house at Christmas with the ILs, everyone is flying there. We are thinking about renting some baby gear ad toys and such, so we have stuff to entertain the baby and to try stuff out and see what she likes before buying it at home. LO will be almost five months at the time.

So what gear or toys would you want to have for a wekek in a rental house? Jumparoo / exersaucer? We have her hanging out in the rock and play in the living room with us a lit, where do you put a 5 mo to hang out like that?

The house is providing a pnp, we are bringing our car seat and snap and go probably- or would you prefer an umbrella stroller at that point?
