Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I do have a Life Factory water bottle that has held up (knock wood) for several years. I wasn't sure how the silicone sleeve would work out with liquids messier than water, though.

@T.H.O.U.: Thanks for the tip about silicone bottles! I didn't know those were an option, but I will definitely look into them.

@snowjewelz: Yeah, I know better than to microwave a bottle, but I wouldn't feel comfortable heating a plastic bottle on the stove either - just my own neurosis! Plus, I'd get frustrated having to hand wash them all, I'm sure.

We used the life factory bottles. We got away with 4 small and 2 large since we only used them when I was away for weddings. We only had one break when it was dropped on the top lip. The LF comes with the silicone sleeve.

I use Avent (not glass) but they have a glass version!

Also, we only heat up bottles by putting it in hot water and never microwave in case it creates heat pockets!

We use the avent natural too and really like it. I have the Dr. Brown's ones to pump into, I would have used those but she prefers the avent and it wasn't worth messing with.

Expensive: life factory
Cheap: Evenflo

Both work great and haven't had any breaks or complaints! Evenflo attaches to my medela pump better though but I do pump into both of them.

We mainly used the Avent Natural glass bottles and liked them a lot. We also had one Lifefactory glass bottle that was fine, I bought it because they can convert to a sippy cup but DD hated the sippy caps and by that time she was starting to wean off bottles so it didn't really get a lot of use...but I did really like that it has the silicone cover.

We use the Dr. Brown's glass bottles (in addition to the plastic ones) and like them a lot! You can get a silicone sleeve as well.

I have only tried one brand, but I really like the Avent natural bottles. I have several in plastic and one that is glass. I like them equally. You can order a silicone sleeve on amazon, and that makes them feel safer to me. I like that they have a wide nipple.

I am not comfortable with warming up plastic - don't put it in the microwave or dishwasher, don't store hot food in plastic containers - so we will most likely be using glass bottles when I need to pump or supplement. Those of you who use or have tried glass bottles, what are your experiences? Any in particular that you loved or hated?
