Have had issues with the cap leaking because a little rubber piece got loose though. Keeps water cold for days, even when left in the car in 95 degree weather! They also have fabulous customer service. DS and DD both have one. They are super insulating! I've put ice in them and even if I leave it over night and go to wash it in the morning the ice is still there only half melted! We've used thermos before too however it didn't keep things cold or warm as long as the zoujirushi. You just suck it out. The button is to snap the straw part open and close. You fold the straw nozzle to close, push the button to snap it open. DS1 has been able to use it since 2.5 years old. They are interchangeable on the bottoms. And we have a contigo insulated stainless steel one that I like too. It has a different straw than my regular contigo ones that I like better.
