We used Olympic Premium interior latex in an eggshell finish for our nursery, and it was great to work with. No VOCs, all that jazz. We chose "Soothing Aloe," and the room was white to begin with so we skipped primer. We only needed one coat for excellent coverage. The room is fairly small, so it took less than one gallon, just $24 at Lowe's.

Ben Moore Aura is my favorite, hands down. It's pricey, but so worth it for the coverage. I've also used Ben Moore Natura, I didn't love it as much. Sherwin Williams also makes great paint, I've used it and was very happy with the coverage and lack of odor. They have 40% off sales fairly regularly also.

Benjamin Moore, hands down. Coverage is incredible. They do have low and no VOCs, but their standard paint is low in VOCs to begin with. We just painted our entire dining room (walls and ceiling) yesterday and had NO scent at all. Its deifnitely pricey (55-60 a gallon) but we typically only need one coat so it saves time and you buy less.

We signed up for the Sherwin Williams preferred customer club (just sign up for emails on their website) and wait for the 30-40% off coupons. SW paint is awesome.

For baby's room we used Behr because its low VOC. It seems to go on pretty well!

I really liked using the Sherwin Williams brands... I waited for them to have 40% off (we had like $250 of paint to buy). I like the colors and the knowledgeable staff its sometimes iffy at lowes or HD. Also if you sign up for their emails online they send you $10 off $50 that you can use during the sales.

2nd would be Glidden but i dont like the Duo primer/paint in one. It dries to quickly and then gets tacky and hard to go back over a while rolling.

We always use Benjamin Moore Aura (which is low-VOC)...it does cost more per can, but it has always covered in one coat, except maybe when we painted over a deep terracotta red. And the finish is beautiful...the pigments are great and even the flat is scrubbable!

We've always used Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore but we try and wait for the 40% off sales. Paying $50-60/gallon sucks!! I've tried Olympic paint from Lowes and was underwhelmed.

I normally use Behr and haven't had any problems with it. I've also used ben moore (cant remember which one, not regal, it was blue can wtih block letters) and find that it does take quite a bit less paint. The last one I tried was ben moore super spec, and I do NOT recommend that. Shockingly it took 2 cans of behr to do one coat ($64), but 1 can of super spec to do 2 coats ($23). But the super spec *needed* the two coats, which I've never had to do before. And I wasn't doing a very pigmented color, that was going on a darker wall. The cost savings was definitely there, but time wise it took another 2.5 hours to do a second coat, vs 4 to put on the first.
Sorry, all this blabing, an the final answer is .. no favorite.
Ben Moore Aura is supposed to be AMAZING - self priming, no VOC, scrubable flat, and dries with in 15 minutes, but $60/can.
