I used to wear Lancôme, benefit, and also several drugstore brands but when I developed eczema in my late 20s all mascara would trigger a painful eczema outbreak around my eyes....so painful. Several years ago I read about Shu curlers in every magazine ever. That was when there was not a Sephora everywhere you turned. I traveled for work and the mall had a sephora and I saw it there, and the workers all gathered around me singing it's praises...So I bought it and I was HOOKED! It majorly curls lashes and the curl stays...I've never used it w/anything other than DiorShow though...</p> <p>The bummer is they discontinued sales at American retailers, so you can't get it from Sephora anymore. I read that tip somewhere and apparently it works. A lot of mascaras are good because of the wand not the actual formulation of the mascara. (Except the ones that coat your lashes in tubes... Even waterproof mascara! Blinc coats your lashes in tiny tubes around your lashes that don't come off until you gently rub your eyes with soap and water. My first love was L'oreal Le Grand Curl. I think I found all the last tubes in my state (on clearance!) when it was discontinued. I moved on to Maybelline Sky High Curves, which was an acceptable alternative until that got discontinued as well. Then I tried all kinds of waterproof formulas, drugstore and high-end, and nothing would hold my curl. (My lashes are normally stick straight and go directly down into my eyes.) Finally Maybelline came out with the Lash Stiletto in Waterproof and bam! Held my curl, lengthened, and separated my lashes. And no clumping. When the Voluptuous formula came out I was sold. </p> <p>If this gets discontinued I will cry!!!! (but my lashes will stay perfect through my tears. until I run out of tubes.
