I really love the Balboa Baby covers. It's bowed out at the top and pleated/shaped at the bottom.
https://www.balboababy.com/cat-2/Nursing-Cover.asp
I have this one in the 'Lola' print.

We ordered one of the free udder covers last night, and I'm really curious to see how that goes.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like it might be another baby/mom see it in person preference.. which stinks because I want to get everything ready now! Haha.

The dria is beautiful, but yes, pricey! Definitely DIY-able though; there is no way I could afford to buy one outright.

I think maybe I'll keep my eyes peeled on Craigslist & garage sales and see if I can find one of those with the bowed front on the cheapie that I can try on first. Going to check out some of the other brands y'all mentioned now!

I really dislike using a cover and try to avoid it when possible. But when I have to use it, I'm very thankful for the bowed out part.

I have an udder cover and another brand (not sure which). I do like the bowing feature of the udder cover because I could peak down at DD and it didn't brush her face like the other one does. If you are DIYing I suggest using lightweight rings because my second cover has very heavy rings that make the whole thing uncomfortable after some time.

I have a Bebe Au Lait Hooter Hider but didn't like the one ring because the rest of the fabric kept covering my LO's face (she wiggles a lot). I then got the Booby Trapper because it has a double rim so that I can see her clearly and the fabric doesn't touch her face. I really like it--but I just bought a new one because LO doesn't like to have anything blocking her view. I am waiting on my BabyBond cover, which is worn like a sash. It's similar to a nursing top and doesn't cover LO's face at all. I'm hoping she loves it!

Good luck to you! Most likely you will be able to BF. I've heard 95% of women are physically capable of doing so. And it's worth it for sure!!

i had a bebe au lait and now use a dria. The dria is really cool -- I love it! It is a little pricey, but it doubles as a stroller and car seat cover as well.

I am hoping to breastfeed, even though I don't know anyone who has had success! I'm a very DIY inclined person, but wanted to get others' opinions on nursing covers - is the "bowed out" feature of udder covers useful? Any fav features or brands??
