I've used MyPublisher the past 2 years, and they're good! especially since they're running promos all the time. I used AdoramaPix for my wedding guestbook and the quality is superb and very professional, BUT they're $$$.

My photog friend uses MixBook and she loves it! I feel like they offer more stickers and freedom, and the pricing looks similar to MyPublisher. I'm thinking of giving them a spin next year.

I use MyPublisher all the time, and love it. The system is intuitive and easy, they have lots of options to make it more/less fancy, and they have a LOT of sales.

I haven't gotten books from AU, but our photographer friend highly recommends them, and uses them for her own prints and products. They are beautiful quality.

I used MyPublisher for our wedding and the book is seriously professional quality. I don't remember how much I paid, but I know I wouldn't have done it if it was outrageously expensive.

I used Shutterfly for my wedding album (and added lots of "upgraded" features) and I got rave reviews on it. I hadn't heard of Artifact Uprising but it looks cool!

@dolphin: Cool, thanks! There was a great HB blog post about them (a couple of years ago?) that made them look pretty awesome, but I know there are probably dozens of different options.

Ah...digital photography! It has been *years* since DH and I have printed photos on a regular basis and I can't remember the last time we put an album together...so between that and a new baby, things are getting pretty back-logged.

I like the idea of printed photo books, but it's important to me that they be at least as durable as "real" photos...and it would be nice not to pay an arm and a leg. What has been your favorite service? And has anyone tried Artifact Uprising?

TIA!
