I also love the Ultimate Receiving Blankets, which I found for a good price on Amazon. The other item we love is our Uppa Baby Vista, which we were given used. We could not justify spending the money initially but now that we've used one, I can say I would drop the money on a new one tomorrow if something happened to this one. It grows with the baby, right now my LO is 13 months and she still sits in the little tub inside of the tub. (Not the infant one, but the mini tub). I wanted to make sure we purchased wisely and bought only what we needed, but we sure did make some mistakes.</p> <p>Having said that, I'd be careful about buying too many sleepsacks and blankets. I had fleece, microfiber, muslin, you name it, in all sizes. We barely used them. Buy one and see if it works then wait on the other sizes. They always go on sale and you can always have them shipped next day on Amazon or diapers.com.</p> <p>I loved a few things, like the NoseFrieda, our Beaba Babycook (it's perfect for our lifestyle and lack of storage space), Baby Gap infant reversible cardigans and pants, Carters onesies and the Lamaze toys. What helped me was to have a mommy friend look at my registry and like @cvbee: said she critiqued it for me. For example, I had a plastic bath tub on there with no padding and she told me to get one that is softer for LO, and I'm so glad I did. I'd be happy to look at your registry for you!</p> <p>Also something I didn't think about before I had my LO, I got a front to back swing and my LO likes side to side swings, so we had to get a new swing. We got one that goes both ways so next time we have a LO it will work whatever way they like. Also, we got one that works on batteries instead of plugs into the wall, so we had to change the batteries all the time and it would run out mid nap and that would wake the baby up.
