I bought a package of Luvs once and you could feel all the granules of gel inside the diaper much more than other brands. I returned the pack.

@MerryC: Yay for cloth!! It really does save in the long run, IMO. It pains me that we cannot use our stash right now. :( Hope it works out for you!

Thank you all! I really appreciate the advice. It's so overwhelming to read all the reviews with so many diaper options!

@tysonja: Yes! I will definitely be returning a few boxes to Costco. It's dissapointing, and I always feel bad returning open/used stuff, but they are always really great about it.

@anbanan15: thanks for the encouragement on cloth! I visited a cloth diaper shop yesterday and got a few flips and bumgenius to try. I did the math, and even with twins, we'd break even on cost in 6 months or less, even with cheap (20 cent) disposables!

We do the Pampers Sensitive due to sensitive skin issues. I try not to look at the price when I buy them, since they are what works for us- no irritation, no gel, and no leaks. I have never noticed the gel stuff using Pampers, but did all the time when I tried Huggies.

Pampers sensitive, it's on my Amazon subscribe and save, I think it's $39 (sorry crappy memory). LO have eczema and its the only brand of diapers he's not allergic to, never had a leak, they are wonderful.

I use either pampers baby dry or Sams Club brand, which is surprisingly good, and around 16 cents each :)

My recent orders of size 4 Pampers Cruisers/Active Fit (what they're called in the EU):

30¢ ea (£0.20) from AmazonUK
26¢ ea from Diapers.com

I've used Pampers Baby Dry in a size 4 and they work fine for us, although she wasn't as active as she is now. I usually buy whatever's cheapest on Amazon (I wish they had Diapers.com here)! I'd watch out for promos + cash back bonuses on Diapers.com and stock up.

i like pampers cruisers in size 4 -- but yet that would get expensive for twins! have you brought the costco ones back for return/complaint? they should refund in full. maybe you can make a inquiry about them to find out if it was just a bad (big) batch?

I have used the target brand also and luvs too. I think I got Luvs at target for 18 cents a piece on sale the last time?

Have you tried the Up & Up brand at Target? My LO is in size 4 and that is currently what we are using. I've never seen the pieces of gel on him and when daddy watches him I know his diaper does not get changed as often sigh.

Up until recently we cloth diaper exclusively. I LOVE my cloth, but DS started getting ulcers from them (reaction to the materials I believe) and we decided decided to just go with sposies until we PL in near future instead of changing out our stash. DS is 22 months though and had he been younger I probably would have looked into changing my stash out and felt it was really worth it so no your not crazy for considering cloth.

What size 4 diapers do you use? why do you like them? about how much do you pay for them?

We've been using Kirkland diapers for many months now, love them, they are cheap, and Costco is super convenient (yay double wide carts!). But when we recently moved up to size 4s, I started noticing little bits of what I'm guessing is the absorbancy gel on my kids skin. We've tried two different boxes from two different stores in two different states, so I'm assuming it's not just a bad batch thing. We never had this issue with size 1-2 or 3. DS is crawling, DD is not yet, and it happens to both of them.

I grabbed a box of huggies snug and dry at costco, and I haven't noticed the gel bits as often, but they are still there sometimes. And I don't love that they are dyed blue inside either (but I guess the white ones are probably bleached...sigh).

Both brands at Costco are about 21 cents per diaper. When I look other places, it seems like most size 4's are double that...yikes!

Any advice? Or would it be absolutely insane to consider cloth diapering twins at 7 months?
