I don't have wide feet but I can say these are the comfiest gym shoes I've ever owned. I hated new balances. Might be worth a shot, they've never felt tight anywhere on me and I'm really sensitive to tight fitting shoes.

@elljay: I'm looking specifically for gym sneakers right now but I have been eying those exact sneakers as casual shoes for a while now! So that's good to know.

If you're looking for something less athletic, I have a pair of Superga slip-ons that are nice and roomy width-wise.

For my patients I reccoment asics or new balance as suggested above. Asics have a nice roomy toe box. Really try to get yourself to a running store and have them fit you. And remember you can always put an otc orthotic in if everything else is comfortable but you feel like you need more or less arch support.

I haven't had great luck with New Balance in the past but I will have to try it again. Maybe my wider feet will fit better now! We have some outlets near us that have all the major brands.

I have multiple pairs of New Balances that are amazing. My feet are between medium and wide and they always fit fine. I have these for the gym and they're amazing - http://www.zappos.com/p/new-balance-vazee-rush-v2-black-grey/product/8727248/color/139.

Since having my two kids, my feet seem to have gotten a little wider and not gone back. I don't think they are truly "wide width" but many shoes feel too tight by the end of the day. I'm in the market for some new gym sneakers and wondering if there are certain brands you have found that just run a little wider than others. I k ow illhave to try them on but it would be a good starting point. Thanks!
