@BananaPancakes: those were my favorite style too! I'm hoping they just play around with the different styles and bring it back for the fall.

@Foodnerd81: sorry for responding so late! I usually wear a small or medium in tops and I usually buy the XS or Small (depending on how baggy I want the bottom to be).

@Foodnerd81: I think they run larger than most AE stuff. I'm an 8 and have to wear a large in most of their tops, but I'm solidly a medium in their soft and sexy basics. These were my absolute favorites this year, but looks like they've phased them out. Boooo! https://www.ae.com/women-clearance-aeo-soft-sexy-favorite-t-shirt-caramel/web/s-prod/2370_4499_293?cm=sUS-cUSD

I also have several of the drapery tanks and some other basic tees from the line that they don't have currently, but that Ive purchased within the last couple of months.

@Foodnerd81: I bought one last year that claimed to be there "relaxed" fit, and it was super tight--but the ones I linked to seem to be much better. They're softer, not quite as thick (but this enough!) and drape much more nicely. :)

@Littlebit: @BananaPancakes: ooh these look nice! How does the size run, compared to normal adult women clothes? I always feel so old when I go into their stores. I wear a medium or a large in most things and want it not tight but not too big and baggy.

@mfa_lady: thanks for the link- I was trying to figure out which ones it was on the site. I got one in tall in regular size last year and it clung too much around my hips but I might try just going up a size.

I'm obsessed with Target's v-neck tshirts (I like the Mossimo "boyfriend" ones). They're super soft and hold up well in the dryer and I've been able to get tons of stains out of them. The only problem I have is that they can be a little thin if you get a lighter color, but I usually wear a tank underneath so I have two layers for public nursing. Plus they're like $9 (and frequent go on sale for $5-$6).

This one in Tall + your normal size! I'm obsessed--v-neck so planning to use them to nurse, closer to a short tunic length if you get Tall, relaxed but flattering enough I can still wear them now (thought I'm starting to run out of room in them at 22+ weeks pregnant) and they rotate through the colors pretty often so you can find a good variety.

It took forever but I finally found my holy grail tee! The soft & sexy line at american eagle! Really soft, hold up well, and very flattering on my shape. They're figure flattering up top but then loose enough on the bottom to not cling to my trouble spots...but not so loose that it looks sloppy either. I have them in like 5 different colors (they release new colors each season) and I get compliments on them being the perfect tee all the time.

I do hang dry them so they last longer, though. But I hang dry everything besides pajamas.

@catlady: oh- I totally agree that old navy has a few that do work. My Tami tanks have lasted years of being pulled down to nurse without stretching or losing no their shape, but other tanks are stretched out and shrink short the first time I wash them. I do have one vintage T but it's white and see through. I should try more of those.

@josina: thanks- I remembered someone asked this recently and searches but couldn't find it!

I know you just said Old Navy didn't work for you, but those are actually the ones that worked out best for me. I get the v-neck vintage ones and I have about a million of them in different colors. Every so often I think I should throw some away but they all still look fine. I find the fit flattering and the v neck was good enough for me to nurse (not sure if that would work for everyone though). Totally agree Old Navy quality usually stinks but for some reason this style works for me (I've had some for 5 years now!).

Do you have a go-to favorite t-shirt style or brand that you love and holds up well? I'm looking for some basics that aren't clingy, but not frumpy either, loose enough to pull up or down to nurse, and wash and dry well. I guess I would pay up a little if it means they can go in the dryer without changing shape entirely (ahem, old navy).

What's your favorite??
