L's favorite things to do right now (32 months) are playing restaurant (dishes, play food, etc), doctor (doctor kit, stuffed animals, band aids), and art projects (making and using homemade paints, anything with glue). Building is still a hit too (blocks, forts, etc).

My son is almost 2.5 and he's recently become obsessed with jigsaw puzzles. We had to do the first one with him and occasionally he still needs help with a piece, but he spends a lot of time putting them together independently. I've found that 24-35 pieces is the right level of difficulty for him. And he's so proud when he finishes one... It's adorable!

We're in the same boat, spending all of our time outside. M seems to be really developing her imagination lately though (she'll be 3 next month) so I think that the next "toys" or birthday presents will be a collection of dress up clothes or accessories. I hope we can do some firefighters, doctors, etc in addition to the unavoidable princesses and fairy wings

With a week of stormy weather, LO and I have been playing inside a bit more and I've realized he really could use a few new toys. I haven't really refreshed his indoor toys in quite awhile, we've been spending so much time outside!

Any suggestions? We do a lot of play-doh, blocks and books at this point!
