@prettylizy: We went through this phase too. Now that he's older he found on Youtube videos of people opening up Easter eggs to see the prizes inside. They do little reviews on them and he just loves watching it. Not sure why?

Another weird item my LO liked when he was around 8mos was the edge pieces off the foam puzzle mats in the playroom. He would pull them off and chew on them

J's favorite toy right now (12.5 mos) is a wooden spoon. Loves it. Sometimes he "stirs" a metal bowl--fun sound! -- but sometimes he just carries it around.

He is also very excited about an old plastic colander and remote controls.

Any kind of container with a lid or cap. Especially twist on caps. He will spend forever twisting the cap on and off!

Xander loves the empty diaper and wipes boxes! My husband is bad at breaking them down and putting them in the recycling, so Xander now has a collection in his room and he builds tunnels and forts with them!

LO has stolen my funnels, measuring cups, bento box, popsicle mold set, turkey baster, and pastry brush. She's also obsessed with the salad spinner but I haven't given up custody of it.

Also she has claimed all old electronics: phones, remotes, calculators and keyboards.

What are your LO's favorite household items that have been repurposed as toys? I remember loving playing with my mom's Tupperware bowls and plastic measuring cups.
