Follow up question: anyone know how big the difference between a 12 toddler and 1 kids is? DD is comfortably in a 12 but I feel like she’ll outgrow it in a few months. With something like snow boots could a I get away with a 1 or is the difference too big? Also, why can’t more kids brands have half sizes 😭

@Becky: oh, Buffalo, then you know snow for sure!! I live in Saratoga! And yes, it is the very expensive Waldorf Forest Mixed age kindergarten 🤪 it's absurd that I have to pay what I pay literally just to ensure my kid is going outside every day. I always joke I'm paying 💲💲 for my kid to play in dirt. Ha. Ha. 😅

@pachamama: Um, an all weather first pre-K sounds amazing. We’re in a pretty progressive town outside Buffalo and the only thing close is the (very expensive) Waldorf school 😭 The LL Bean ones were on my short list. I’m hesitant about the Bogs and Muck Boots because I’m afraid snow will get in the top.

@Becky: my son goes to an all-weather forest Pre-K and they recommend Bogs across-the-board. I find them very narrow in the calves though. I really liked the LL Bean and Oaki brands (NY is cold and wet and snowy for 5 months). LLBeans linings are stiff tho.
Surprisingly the Target brand ones last year held up so well! We'd alternate between those and the Oaki ones.

yeah, bogs are the best. check 6pm and the other discount sites like sierra trading, sometimes you can find good deals there.

I like LL Bean Northwood boots. Our winters are super long and frigid. They’ve held up really well. I like that they come with a second liner so if the first pair get wet we swap it out with a dry pair right away.

Kids classic bogs are our favorite. Full price they are more than $50 but we always find them at nordstrom rack or 6pm.com for $45-55. DD can put them on and take them off easily. They are very warm. She can walk/run in them no problem.

I can’t believe it’s time to get snow boots already 😭

What are your favorite snow boots for super cold, super snowy winters? The past few years I’ve ordered Kamik boots on Amazon which have been fine but we always have trouble finding a style that my daughter likes (not the way it looks, but how it feels/ease of use especially since she has to get them on and off at school three times per day). I’d like to spend less than $50.
