I think it's just OK. There are a fair number of limitations to what kind of table it can be used on- no pedastal tables, only the kind with foru legs (could tip with the extra weight), nothing flimsy, and I have had problems with some tables that can expand with leaves in the middle-- the frame under the table can get in the way of the hook on part-- usually she had to sit at the head of the table in that case. And like @kakimochi: mentioned, sometimes I just don't feel comfortable hooking it to a really nice table at a friend's house. I haven’t used the tall folding chair type. The strap to the chair option can be bulky compared to the clip on to the table, that’s the only drawback in my opinion, but it’s great because you can strap it to any kind of chair or just set it on the floor (if you’re having a picnic on the ground) or at a booth type table. For the clip on, it folds up so it’s portable and doesn’t take up much space, but sometimes the tables could be too thick or have some kind of border so you can’t clip it to the table, or if we’ve been at a friend’s house where the table is so nice, I have felt uncomfortable strapping the chair to it, or you can’t put it on the ground. I've seen the kind that look like you are strapping your baby to the chair and ones that look like really tall folding camping chairs.</p> <p>Does anyone have any experience with these and have a recommendation for me? I don't think we'll be using it often so I don't want to spend a ton, probably less than $50 if possible. </p>
