Especially after buying samples!!!! I'm sorry it happened to you too! It's so annoying bc it's lost time- repainting over the stuff THEY mixed wrong...They should give the $ back plus a free can! The paint for both my daughter's rooms was over $60 a can on sale- They gave me an additional $10 off but $10 doesn't really make up for the wasted time my husband spent doing the cut-in in Barney purple. They should give a fre can when they can verify it's their stupid mixer!!! As soon as we started painting it, i could tell the color was different. Everyone with me kept saying "oh it'll dry better" and it didn't - it was completely wrong! We went back to the store with the opened can and the guy admitted they've been having problems with the machine not putting enough green in so the colors were off. UMMMMM, if you know this is happening why are you still using the machine!! Get it repaired and stop selling bad paint! They ended up refunding us for the paint we bought (even though it was mixed/opened/nonrefundable) and made us new paint which actually matched. We are probably going to wait another year or so, but I love the idea! Our house is pretty small, so his room could accommodate grandparents when they visit, which would be really nice too. Yeah - We both debated about it for a few days when her furniture went on sale bc a queen just seemed so huge and we decided we were going to take the plunge. But it's only 6 inches difference, and it just actually makes a lot more sense long term! And if you have the space, then it is actually a great investment! We were really lucky. My LO is a wild sleeper- all over the place- and she has done fantastic in the Big Girl Bed with even more room...I am really proud of her for, well...being such a Big Girl! I was expecting the worst! But she isn't potty trained so I'm sure once we do that, everything is going to get all jacked up. We decided that we weren't going to waste money on a twin bed, we wanted to invest in a nice set that she can grow with for several years. I found this on PBTeen actually - it's the Coraline, and the canopy comes off if she gets tired of it, and it can be a 4 poster or just headboard/footboard. But it was between a full and a queen. There's only 6 inches difference, and we already had a nice queen mattress that we could use, so we went with that. We have a routine every night that we follow, we started a special one the first night she went in her Big Bed. It is based around her Elsa doll and her Dream blanket - new acquisitions with the Big Girl Bed. And when we tell her it's time to go Night Night, we walk her to her bed, she climbs up the steps and gets in her spot with her doll and her blanket, and she tells us Night Night and that she loves us, and she rolls over and goes to sleep. It's pretty amazing, but she's done that from Day 1, and we started about a week after she turned 2. We ordered those bumpers on each side from Amazon, and they have kept her from falling out or anything. I probably would've had a heart attack! We painted a navy accent wall in our bedroom and after painting it, learned the color wasn't mixed well and painted all streaky. Had to go bad, get new paint and redo it.
