I nurse to sleep and then offer solids after naps and LO is nine months old. This is partly because A struggles with going to sleep on her own and partly just how her routine panned out.

I was very worried about doing things "right" so I fed her adter naps for the first 12 weeks. After that I noticed she napped longer and better of I fed her first. I've rolled with it since and have had no issues. I just make sure she doesn't fall asleep eating.

We seem to of found ourselves in a loose EASY routine. DD is 3 months and awake for 1.5 hours and eats around every 2.5 - 3 hours so usually she is hungry when she wakes. For her afternoon nap I do feed her again before going back down so she can hopefully get a longer nap in.

I nursed DD on demand roughly every 2.5-3 hours and she napped whenever her awake period was "up", so sometimes it was before a nap and if she napped for a long time then again when she woke.

Glad to hear nursing before naps seems pretty normal. Hopefully we can get a good routine established!

we do EASY. so if she take a crap nap, she might eat every 2 hours. if she takes an epic nap, it might be 4.5 between feedings. i also don't put her on her tummy right after eating or she'll toss it up! :)

We usually did a wake to feed, play, nap, wake to feed schedule! So he would eat after he woke up from a nap!

We started nursing before naps around 6.5 months, and that is also around when his naps got better...don't know if they're related though! We did EASY until that point, and then I kind of threw it out the window because I was worried LO wasn't nursing enough.

my hungry baby likes to eat before and after naps lol. she usually nurses a bug amount right when she wakes up from a nap, and then i top her off with another nursing session before she goes down for a nap. she naps 2-3x a day for at least 1 hour 30 mins each time.

We did a loose EASY from early on... he took to the cycles really well, but I don't bat an eyelash if it changes to ESAY even to this day and he's almost 8 months old! :)

A went through a cpl months of 30-45 min catnaps tho... and NOTHING changed it... we just waited it out-- and eventually he got to a pretty consistent 3 - 1 hour naps... now at almost 8 mths, he's dropped a nap, and does a 1 hour... 1.5 hours nap 2x day. (unless teething)... :P

We did EASY, but not Xander just eats predictably every 3 hours. He naps after being awake for 2 hours, so sometimes his nap happens right after he eats and sometimes it happens before. Sometimes when he takes a long nap, he'll go 4 hours between eating.

What I didn't want to do is get into the habit of nursing to sleep, so even if he's due for a nap right after he eats, I'll keep him up by changing his diaper or something and THEN let him fall asleep on his own.

ETA: As far as the spit-up issue is concerned, Xander's slowly stopped spitting up as much as he's gotten older. And I used to wait to do tummy time for an hour after eating because he was WAY more likely to spit up if he ate and then immediately did tummy time. Now it doesn't matter because he doesn't spit up nearly as much as he used to.

DS usually nurses before a nap and when he does have a long nap he will nurse again after. But we don't really have any type of a schedule.

R eats every 3 hours and then just naps whenever it is time. I don't keep her up for more then 2 hours during the day. A lot of times at day care she falls asleep after her bottle.

I'm trying to implement some nap-training techniques to get K some better quality sleep in the day. Do you nurse or feed your LO before or after naps? I Did your LO's age have anything to do with your method?

K only naps about 20-25 min. so usually I nurse and then she'll sleep. But I imagine if you have a long napper, he/she would be hungry when they wake up?

I know a lot of moms here do EASY, but K really never sleeps after activity, and tends to spit up a lot if she plays after eating. Right now, it's more like ESA.
