We're switching to my work daycare in a few weeks, so I'm not worrying about it too much, but it would be a big concern if we were going to continue there. I get the basic stats (what she ate, diaper changes, nap length, if any). There is generally one sentence about her day which mostly is something like "Fiona had fun dancing today!" or something random. We get daily feedback in a notebook. They record how much she ate, her nap, accidents, times on toilet, and what she enjoyed that day. We also get notes if she needs new undies, shirts, etc. for her cubby</p> <p>The notes used to be really sporadic, but they made little notebooks with pre-printed sections for the info, and now we get that complete info every day. We get feedback daily. They have an app that they update right when something happens. I can access the app from my phone at anytime. Daily? Weekly?<br /> We get daily reports with a minimum for a couple of photos via an app called KindyHub. Its not totally personalised, they use the same report for all the parents within an age group, but each kid is mentioned by name for at least a coupe of the activities (ie, Suzy and Jack played with the dinosaurs, while Jane and Mike played in the kitchen, type of thing)<br /> 3) What format does the feedback come in? Etc<br /> Not really experienced with that yet, but they were wonderful when we were trying to get his weight up, reporting every morsel of food and ml of milk he was drinking. Now that he's in the toddler room they have a chart posted outside the room with the day's meal and how everybody ate (a little, well, a lot) and nap times, and they send home a little report once a week about what they did that week. (They move to new rooms at 18 months and 3 yrs.) Both get daily reports with food, sleep, diapering/toileting, and some kind of note about their day. In the infant room, each child also has a point person who talks with the parent at pick-up and drop-off. In the toddler room, the child enters and leaves the room independently, but we occasionally get verbal feedback then too. (Normally, it's just a quick exchange of pleasantries as the toddler goes in/out.) We communicate by email whenever we like. LO1 is currently working on potty-training, and his teacher has arranged a couple of longer meetings with us and has sent some long weekly updates about what he's been doing at school wrt toileting. I would usually chat with his morning teacher when I dropped him off. This was at our previous daycare which was a small center. When he was an infant we got a paper with all of his nap times, diaper changes and feeding times as well as anything extra they wanted us to know.</p> <p>At our new center (started at 3 yrs old, will be 4 next month) we get a slip of paper that tells us if he ate his lunch, napped, how his mood was and a couple little blurbs about his day. If he had a particularly rough day they will mention that as well (i.e. he's had "we are working on our listening ears" written down a lot...). This is a very large center with a lot of classrooms and children. I feel like at this age I really don't need a ton of information from the teacher because I can ask him about his day. It's cheap and they've been flexible with us; but most importantly our friends mom is the director. However, the lack of feedback makes me wonder if we should try a different daycare. </p> <p>Perhaps hearing others experience would help me know what to expect, and give me ideas of what to ask for:</p> <p>1) How old is your LO?<br /> 2) How often do you get feedback on LO?
