@Mrs.Pinecone316 So the nurse got back to me. They think it might be the anti-nausea patch that I put on last night. I usually put the patch on in the morning but last night my old patch fell off so I put a new patch on. The drunk feeling might be a side effect of the patch.

The nurse did say she'll talk to the dr to see if they think it's something with my blood sugar.

@bluestriped bee: For me personally diabetes felt like a tingle (slight buzzing like a leg that fell asleep is waking up but way milder than that and your whole body feeling that) when I had high blood sugar, so not really a drunk feeling. I hope it's not GD! Good luck! I hope this is nothing.

Thanks everyone! I called my OB.

So this leads me to another question... Could this drunk feeling be a sign of gestational diabetes?

I would guess low blood sugar. Call your OB to be safe. Glad you are feeling better. Keep us updated. 22 weeks! You are moving along!

I bet it was your blood sugar. It would be good to follow up with someone.

I'd call your OB. If you were dizzy I'd say it was orthostatic hypertension, which I actually just experienced this week and talked to my OB about. Basically he said that it's your blood pooling in the bottom half of your body, and it can cause dizziness, nausea, fatigue, and vomiting (all of which I had in a very mild form).

I woke up and just felt off balance, but as the morning progressed I got slightly dizzy, slightly nauseated and eventually vomited. I wasn't so dizzy I was afraid of fainting, and I knew it wasn't low blood sugar because I had eaten breakfast and it had gotten worse after breakfast. My OB told me that I should sit down and/or lie down and rest until I feel better, and make sure to drink a ton of water because dehydration can definitely contribute.

I only mention this because my dizziness wasn't like the room was spinning, more like I just couldn't keep my balance.

Definitely call your doctor. It was probably low blood sugar but my anemia kicked in in the 2nd trimester so it could be that too.

I'm feeling a little bit better now but when I woke up about 2 hours ago, I felt drunk. (Obviously, I was not drinking.)

I had trouble keeping my balance and had to use the walls for support while I got ready for work. I wasn't lightheaded or dizzy. Nothing different from my usual schedule. (ETA: I do usually wake up about 3am and to go to the bathroom and drink something because I'm usually thirsty. Today, I did wake up to go bathroom but I was not thristy so I didn't drink anything... so maybe I was just dehydrated.)

Google says it might be low blood sugar or anemia. I did have some graham crackers and drank some water on my ride into work. (I was on the vanpool, so no driving for me.)

Did anyone have this feeling? Is it normal or should I call my OB?

Oh, I'm 22w5d and pregnant with twins.
