I had this when not pregnant and ended up having a prescription for heartburn meds.. I took them for a few weeks and then was fine.

I've dealt with this for years, I think it's a former of heartburn/acid reflux. I tend to notice it more of I eat oily or fried food. Interestingly enough I haven't had it since DS's birth (10 weeks ago).

I ended up needing a prescription - protonix. I remember asking for my heartburn meds during labor, that's how bad it was. I have heartburn when I'm not pregnant though. I would ask your dr for something.

I had this basically the duration of both pregnancies. Mine was so bad it caused pain in my ears. It's heart burn. Pepcid was the most effective at taking the edge off the discomfort.

I had that feeling my whole first trimester. Almost like I had a burp stuck. I always felt like I had to burp but couldn't get it out.
It's heartburn! After reading many ladies were allowed to take Zantac I asked my OB and she said it was fine.
It moderately helped but it didn't fully stop till 2nd tri.

@avivoca: I have tried the antacids they don't help! 😞 I read one lady needed a prescription. I may need one too! I also read one lady had this but in her 2nd trimester is just went away! I hope that's me! Also I read about the stones too! And I tried to look, but opening my mouth that much makes me gag! Ugh it's a rough life

Look at the back of your throat. Do you see any white spots on your tonsils? If you have them, they could be tonsil stones. That's what caused that feeling for me a couple of weeks ago. You could try pregnancy safe antacids of you have heartburn.
