Hugs mama, what a day. I'd say put the laundry in the wash and then put your feet up. You need a rest and time to re charge too.

We've lived in our place 1.5 years and still have boxes packed. Just a couple months ago we hung pictures. You are way to busy to worry about unpacking.

I'm hoping for no more big tantrums this week while you are at all your appointments.

@Mrs Green Grass: we pretty much live at the hospital right now. We are there 3 or 4 times a week right now. I will be happy for it to stop soon. Hard to make real life mommy friends when I am busy rushing off to appointments.

We are at the hospital again tomorrow for E's GI appointment. We will be at the hospital Wednesday too for E in the morning and then speech therapy way up town for N in the afternoon.

Today I am feeling like I have lost my much-ness as it were. Over the weekend my parents came to visit (which overall was fun) but all I heard from both my parents was "well you have made real progress on the boxes ::eye roll:: "
Also I forgot to pay bills like electric and cable because I have been so caught up with the boys medical stuff. DH was sweet about it but who forgets to pay the electric bill?!?
Fast forward to today, N was being just terrible in the stroller at the hospital just yelling and screaming that he wanted salad that I was trying to pay for and he nearly dumped on the floor. I yelled at him in front of all these strangers. All I wanted to do after that was cry and hug him. I understand that this has been hard for him and everyone involved. I felt like the worst mom for yelling at him. :crying:

Plus I just want to throw away all the dirty laundry and buy new clothes because I just don't want to deal with laundry right now but it really needs done.

N qualified for speech therapy through EI. It wasn't a shocker for us. The coordinator did stress that he will only have services with them until October when he turns three. We have speech tomorrow with private therapy. N sees GI on Thursday for his first appointment.

E will be receiving OT services through early intervention. E also had his feeding follow up today. He will be doing feeding therapy once a week. We are also going to be moving forward with a swallow study. The feeding therapist seemed to think his issue was rooted in reflux issues. So they recommend he sees GI for his reflux and they will work on his feeding aversion.

Well, looks like Nolan did break his nose but there is nothing to do but manage his pain and let it heal.
We did get to sit down with a dietician today about N's gut. She agrees that he needs to see GI. The only thing she suggested was limiting his sugars, because it sounded like perhaps his body was not absorbing sugar properly. She also suggested upping his fats.

We have EI paperwork tomorrow for both boys, then feeding follow up for E.

@ALV91711: thanks! I really did have a great time!

It was great to get sometime away with my SIL. Plus I found out that my SIL is expecting their second!! I am so pumped for her! This trip and relaxation really recharged my batteries. It was great to talk it all out in person with a different sounding board then DH. (Not that he isn't great, but sometimes I just need my friends to run things by) . Plus it was just great to watch N and E playing with their cousin and other kids.

The only bummer is I am pretty sure N broke his nose. :/ He went head (nose) first into the coffee table and now it's swollen and he has double black eyes. The doctor said unless we were concerned about his breathing we could wait to be seen tomorrow. We are keeping him comfortable with Motrin at the moment and he seems ok as long as no one gets near his nose.

Colossal hugs to you momma! You are right that ASD is not a big deal because the spectrum is so broad but As the parent of a high functioning borderline kid (diagnosis is still provisional) who is now thriving do suggest you do something that I wish I had done sooner: join an ASD support group for your area. Even if you child is borderline or it's just a speech delay or ADHD (all which are still possible for my son) you will learn so much and love the support. There is nothing in this world like it. Take it from me. It's life changing and really wonderful. Good luck. I belong to a private group on Facebook and it's amazing. The women really lift each other up and their kids.

We met with EI today for the boys to be eval.

They want to see N for his oral motor and speech delay. Not a big shocker; they also sorta laughed when I told them the doctor wanted him checked out for autism. He had so much fun playing with the evaluators. He was so sad when they left.

E scored as globally delayed which threw me a bit. I am mostly concerned with his speech (lack there of) and his swallowing. He had a great time with the ladies as well.
I meet with our service superiors on Tuesday to discuss the plan. After that appointment we go to the hospital for follow up with feeding therapy with E.
On a non medical note: I scored the RTB a Stellar Tula from Abby's lane today and I am still on for my spa day with my SIL. DH worked some overtime plus holiday day and is excited to spoil me some since he knows how hard everything has been.  I love him so much.

@Mrs Green Grass: We just moved the Indianapolis area, so we don't know pretty much anyone here yet. We did just meet with speech for N today and they have a play group on Friday mornings. We are going to try and hit it next week. We do still have EI this week.

I called to get appointment dates for the boys with developmental PEDS. E's referral is still outstanding while they decide what clinic he is going to go to. N's scheduled with the Early Autism group for failure of the MChat. I know that Autism isn't a huge deal. I even know that if he is on the spectrum that it is mild, but it is throwing me through a HUGE loop. I haven't really talked to DH about it yet. I know he will be fine, but I just don't know what to say.

The rest of N's labs will post tomorrow and hopefully I can get us scheduled with Nutrition.

E's Labs looked great according to the doctor. So that's good at least.

I am really looking forward to my nephews birthday party this weekend. DH surprised me with a mini spa day with weekend, because he knows how hard its been on me lately.  I am hoping to link up with a few friends who live up by my nephew. Plus I just found out that my friend from high school will be coming into town next week I haven't seen her in more then 10 years. Hoping it will help to relax and catch up.
