My kids are 21 months apart and I found the last months of pregnancy SO HARD! I felt like a failure because he was so defiant but like @autumnlove: said, it does get much easier once they can express themselves better. Now at 25 months (and almost 4 months) I feel good about my parenting. I'm consistent with expectations and time outs and it really helps his behavior. Is it possible to move nap time up? J is only on 1 nap but it's 5 hours after wake up. Hang in there :)

My LO was really moody and she had a lot of tantrums at 18 months. Things calmed down around 20 months when she started talking more. Hang in there and hugs!

Ever since my son dropped his second nap 3 months ago I've been at my wits end. We have 6-7 hours of awake time before his nap and by 5 hours were both fed up. I'm nearly 37 weeks pregnant so I'm sure (or I hope) that's a big part of it, but I'm struggling. Taking care of a baby is hard but so far for me a toddler is SO MUCH harder. At 18 months old, we already have full on scream on the floor and kick your feet tantrums along with a lot of testing of limits. Feeding is nearly impossible because he chews everything up and spits it out and then makes a mess with it, smearing it or throwing it on the floor. I honestly cannot remember the last meal he ate! I guess I'm just looking for someone to say it gets better, or suck it up because it's going to get harder.... I'm so nervous to transition to two children in just a few weeks!
