@Eminthevalley: good point....I don't intend on pushing night training until they are waking up dry anyway.

@LadyDi: true. My kids can 100% remove them!!

My potty trained 3 yo still wears one piece jammies. He doesn’t go in the night and when he wakes up in the morning he tells me when he has to pee so I’ll help him. He’s coordinated enough to unzip and get out of them but I’m not sure he could get back in.

My twins love their footie pjs and start asking for them in August! Once they were potty trained they don’t go at night so it hasn’t been an issue.

Oh! Also for those who don’t like the “footsies” as we call them, we use 1 piece footless fleece jams from carter’s. They are great bc my guy is super lanky so I don’t have to worry about the length and we can put whatever socks on that we want. Keeps that little belly warm and covered but keeps the feet free!

My 6 and 4 year old still think it's fun to have a pair or two of footed all-in-one PJs for winter!

I'll keep my baby in them almost exclusively as long as she's not potty trained and occasionally pooping overnight/early morning (she's 22 months), because they contain blowouts better than 2 piece pjs (I know, ew....)

Two-piece PJs were briefly useful (when the amount of warning before an accident was seconds rather than minutes). My LO (3y4m) can hold it for a long time now, but, still can't readily unzip himself. He also won't take himself to the bathroom alone in the middle of the night, so, it doesn't matter. I expect by the time he's willing to go alone, he'll be good enough at unzipping/zipping.

Both of my kids have switched to two pieces around 12-18 months but more so bc they prefer bare feet... (just like their mama :silly: ) we are a bare foot family.. we rip off socks and shoes as soon as we get home and my 18 mos DS actually sighs in relief when I take his off... it's quite funny actually

DD1 had to do away with feety pj's super early (by 18mo) b/c her feet were always too big than the standard size.

DD2 is now almost 21 mo and still wear feety's, but I def woudl not want feety's after she's potty trained.

Thanks. Yeah, our PJ collection is a combo of 2 piece and feety......I'll be sad for that phase to end.

There are plenty of times I go in in the morning to find my hooligans have removed their feety PJs entirely....haha. sometimes they even swing them around over their heads! How scandelous!

DS is newly potty trained (pull up at night) and I just bought him new fleece zip up jams. He doesn’t get out of bed by himself so it makes no difference

I stopped them for a little while when my older daughter was newly potty trained, but she liked them and went back to them. She could also unzip them by herself to pee by that point. But in the beginning I did only use two piece.

My younger one just potty trained and has one super cute one piece pajama that she loves so I still let her wear it but only after I’ve put on the diaper for the night and I change her first thing in the morning (otherwise she hangs out in pjs for a little longer).

I switched my kids to 2 piece pjs at the 12-18 month size because that’s what I prefer, but did want to say that my 3 year old has been potty trained for a year for day but not at all for night so he wears a pull up to bed every night. He does not wake up to pee and if it liked footie pjs it would be no issue to have him in those still.

So I see Feety-PJs in huge sizes......but are kids done with feety-PJs once they potty train?

I am so not ready to give up Feety-PJs in the winter - they are so cozy looking! And for kids who love to kick off their blankets, I feel better about their feet being covered without the extra step of putting on socks.
