@snarkybiochemist: Thank you!!

@ShootingStar: Waiting to hear what the doctor says but according to my bottle, it should be 5mg for 5 days. I actually ovulated on my own this previous cycle but ovulation occured 1.5 weeks later than it normally should which made me have a 40 day cycle. Looking forward to being able to have that occur much earlier in the process so I don't have to wait as long! Happy it worked for you and hopefully it does the job for me, too!!

This combination is how I got pregnant with DS :happy: . I have PCOS and had a tough time ovulating on my own. I did a couple cycles of Clomid that failed and then moved on to Femara. On the cycle that was successful I did the highest dosage possible and then used the ovidrel trigger. I ovulated on about CD 15, which was like a miracle for me.

And the ovidrel injection is a breeze! It was so intimidating at first, but seriously you can barely feel it.

@snarkybiochemist: we will see if I am able to do it myself because that would be nice if I end up having to do what you did!

@emilye519: this gives me a lot of hope! I hope we get it on the first try too, it has been a very long process as i'm sure you understand! If I can't do the shot myself, he is definitely doing it!! :happy:

I got pregnant my first cycle with femara + ovidrel. That was after 15 months of trying and 3 failed clomid cycles. We now have a 2.5 year old from that cycle and a surprise 7 month old! Best of luck to you 🤞🏻💜

@LabradorLover: I found it really easy, but needles don't really bother me. The ability to do it myself came in handy when I had a monitoring appt at 7:15am and was told to go home and trigger at 8am for my IUI the next day at 1pm since my husband left for work at 7:45

I did 3 cycles of femera + ovidrel, the last one we added an IUI to and I am now 28 wks pregnant. I had no real side effects from the femera or the ovidrel, just a bit of itching at the injection site for about a min. I liked the certainty of knowing that ovidrel would trigger ovulation in 36hrs, it took away the guesswork. My first two femera cycles I was on 5 mg and developed 3-4 follicles, my successful cycle I was only on 2.5mg and only had 1 follicle. With the successful cycle I don't know if it was having just 1 really good follicle, the IUI, or really well timed sex that did the trick. Good luck

Tomorrow is my cycle day 3 and I'm going to have bloodwork and an ultrasound. As long as everything checks out, I'll be starting Femara tomorrow. RE said I will have the possibility of using Ovidrel.

We have been TTC for 15 months now and ovulation is apparently my issue. This will be our first cycle of using Femara and possibly Ovidrel. Feeling nervous and excited but trying to just let things happen and not worry too much.

Curious to hear about your successes, side effects and anything else I should know!

Thanks in advance :heart:
